Really educational software is hard to find these days. It brings a lot of pain to my heart, but it must be admitted: Most software out there isn't anything that anyone needs in any situation! It's a painful mistake! A miserable gruel that shows no signs of stopping. The march to find the perfect educational software is long and endless, and may well never end. Still we keep marching, we stay hopeful. Somehow, throughout all of this, we keep our spirits high, and we keep on marching.

What is so special about education software anyways? Well, a lot of what you can do on a computer can be equated with a Giant Waste of Time! Education software seeks to destroy that idea. Software doesn't have to choose between productivity, and mindless entertainment. There's a middle ground that integrates parts of each of these, and that's quality educational software!

Learning doesn't have to be a dull boring process. Contemporary media paints "edu-tainment" in a bad light by tossing a corny portmanteau on top of it, and relying on the mindless mimicry of the populace. Well let me tell you something! First of all, don't call it edu-tainment! Second of all, educational software is fun to use, and a productive use of your time, or your child's time!

Studies are showing more and more that video games do have healthy effects on the brain. They increase reaction time, problem solving, technology skills, and more. The right educational software takes these aspects, and maximizes them, while adding additional educational advantages. Creativity, UI navigation, learning skills, all these can be developed with the right curriculum of educational software, and other educational materials.
